EDGECOMB — Bernadette Mary Boyle-Sibley, 60, of Edgecomb passed away after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Maine General Hospital in Augusta. She was born in Hazelton, PA on January 28, 1952 the daughter of Bernard and Helen (Hudock) Boyle. She attended Pennsylvania schools and graduated from PENN State College with a Bachelors in Engineering.

Bernadette moved to Maine in 1977 to take a job with Bath Iron Works, where she has been employed for 35 years. In August of 1985 she married her best friend Stephen Sibley and the couple resided in Bath to raise their family, moving to Edgecomb a few years ago to enjoy their retirement home.

Bernadette was a woman with a family she loved, there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them, a career she excelled at, and had such a positive outlook on life that would make anyone around her smile. In her spare time, Bernadette loved to tend to her garden. She took pride in everything she did, especially her plants. Bernadette leaves behind her loving husband Stephen of Edgecomb, a son, Brandon of Bath and a sister, Rose of Hazleton, PA.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 6th from 3:30 – 5:30pm at the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High Street, Bath.
