BOWDOIN — Patricia J. Rogers, age 79 of Bowdoin, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Marshwood Nursing Center in Lewiston.

Patricia was born in Brunswick on November 21, 1932, the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret (Jean) Carter.

She attended Brunswick schools and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1950. In her early years, she was employed at Prout’s Farm in Bowdoinham. She later worked at Grumbacher/J. Brush Company for 20 years and retired from there. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lisbon Falls, The Carter’s Corner Cackle Club of Bowdoin, and enjoyed dancing, arts and crafts, shopping and antiquing. Patricia’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed holding family gatherings, summer cookouts by the pool and will forever be remembered for her Sunday dinners and traditional holiday celebrations.

Surviving are her son, Mark and his wife Brenda Rogers of Bowdoin; two daughters, Linda Rogers Baldiga and her husband Lawrence of Lisbon Falls and Pamela Dickey Dwinal and her husband Paul of Bowdoin; five grandchildren, Lisa and David Rogers, Megan Dickey, Marissa Dwinal, Jessica Rogers-Millson and her husband James and six great grandchildren, Savannah Nichols, Nicholas and Derek Rogers, Benjamin, Daniel and Audrey Jo Millson.

The family would life to offer their heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers at Marshwood Center for the care the offered to Patricia and her family during Patricia’s five years spent there.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday at the Lisbon Falls United Methodist Church, School Street in Lisbon Falls. Burial will be private at the South Bowdoin Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carter’s Corner Cackle Club of Bowdoin.
