DAMARISCOTTA — Lincoln Theater in downtown Damariscotta will screen a live 25th anniversary performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s and Cameron Mackintosh’s “Phantom of the Opera,” captured lived in high definition, at 7 p.m. Thursday.

“With a fully-staged, lavish production, set in the sumptuous Victorian splendor of the Royal Albert Hall, the event has captivated cinema audiences around the world,” a Lincoln Theater release states. “This special event features over 200 cast members, orchestra musicians and luminaries involved with The Phantom of the Opera over the past 25 years.”

The production is directed by Laurence Connor with musical staging and choreography based on the original London production directed by Hal Prince and choreography by Gillian Lynne.

At 7 p.m. July 26, Lincoln Theater will screen “Love Never Dies,” Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sequel to “Phantom of the Opera,” performed live in Melbourne, Australia.

Tickets cost $15 for adults or $5 for viewers age 18 and younger. Adults buying tickets for both shows receive a $5 discount.
