Planning Board meeting

There will be a Planning Board meeting on July 18 at Mallet Hall at 7 p.m. The Planning Board will also be holding a workshop discussion in regards to the ongoing review of the updated ordinance draft, on July 24 from 8-9:30 a.m. at Mallett Hall. All Planning Board meetings, onsite inspections and workshops are open to the public.

On Saturday, July 21, the First Parish Congregational Church will be hosting a bean supper. There are seatings at 5 and 6 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 5-12 and children under 5 eat free. For reservations, call Lois Saunders at 688-4433.

New hours

for food pantry

The North Pownal United Methodist Church on Lawrence Road, has new hours for distributing food from its pantry. It is now open every Tuesday from 10:30 a.m.- noon. Volunteers never know from week to week what will be available, but the pantry usually gets different kinds of breads, produce, desserts, etc. All are welcome.
