BRUNSWICK — Elizabeth A. Davenport, 81, died July 12. She was born in Bath on Nov. 13, 1930, the daughter of Ella (MacDonald) and Frank Dingley, Sr.

Davenport was raised in Bath and served in the U.S. Army. During her time in the service she met Benjamin Davenport. They were married on March 13, 1954, and together raised four sons.

Davenport was a congregant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and an active volunteer at church events. She also volunteered at the local soup kitchen and food bank. Davenport enjoyed playing cribbage, reading, sightseeing and following the Red Sox and Celtics. She was an active member of Bath Senior Citizens.

Davenport is survived by her four sons: Michael and his wife, Laurel, of Las Vegas, Nev.; Benjamin, Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Phippsburg; Joseph and his wife, SueAnn, of Tennessee; and Frank, of Bath. She also is survived by grandchildren Ashlee, Mason, Samantha and Justin; brother Charles Dingley, of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents; her husband; her sister, Lorna Hart; and her brother, Frank Dingley, Jr.

A funeral was held July 18 at All Saints Parish, St. Mary’s Church in Bath. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath.
