SCARBOROUGH – The Scarborough 13- to 14-year-old Junior League all-star baseball team has won the Maine District 6 championship. After losing their first game to Falmouth 3-2, Scarborough came back to beat Portland 12-1, Cape Elizabeth 6-1, Falmouth 8-1 and South Portland 9-1 and 10-1. At the state tournament in Bangor this weekend, Scarborough beat Acadian 6-4 and lost to Bangor 9-1 before losing to Acadian 5-4 on Monday.
