BATH — Educators and students at all levels seeking courses toward teacher certification or re-certification can choose from a growing number of courses offered at University College at Bath/Brunswick for the fall 2012 semester.

Courses are taught by University of Maine System faculty at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Most of the courses are delivered online. Students without high-speed Internet access can participate in the courses at University College’s computer lab. Staff at the center offer support to all students who are new to online learning.

For a traditional onsite class experience, University of Maine at Augusta instructor Patricia Clark will teach HUS 261 Early Childhood Curriculum: Early Learning Environments on Thursdays from 4 to 6:45 p.m. beginning Sept. 6. This course is approved by the state for birth to 5 teaching certification.

University College also makes available certification programs in special education and elementary education from the UMS campuses.
