BINGHAMTON – Thunderstorms and high winds that rolled through Binghamton, N.Y., less than two hours before game time wiped out Thursday’s scheduled meeting between the Portland Sea Dogs and Binghamton Mets.

The Eastern League game was postponed and will be made up as part of a doubleheader Friday that will start at 5:35 p.m.

The Sea Dogs are expected to start Drake Britton (2-3, 4.75) and Mike MacDonald (1-0, 4.50) in Friday’s games. Binghamton’s scheduled starters are Cory Mazzoni (3-3, 3.50) and Darin Gorski (5-5, 4.13).

The series continues with games at 7:05 p.m. Saturday and 1:05 p.m. Sunday.

The Sea Dogs (47-58) are two games behind the fourth-place Mets (48-55) in the Eastern Division.
