OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Louie DiStasio scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the 12th inning Sunday as First Title eliminated Barnstable, Mass., with a 6-5 win in the American Legion Baseball Northeast Regional at The Ballpark.

Cam Mullen struck out leading off the 12th but reached first when the third strike got away from the catcher. DiStasio grounded into a fielder’s choice, then stole second and third to set up the winning run.

First Title advances to Monday’s championship round against unbeaten Milford, Conn., which eliminated Concord, N.H., with a 12-1 victory. The Maine champs must beat Milford twice to claim the title.

After falling behind 2-0 in the first inning, First Title got one run back in the second inning when Tyler Flaherty singled and scored on an error following a double by Drew Ferrick.

First Title, a Portland-based team composed of current and former Cheverus High players, took the lead in the third inning on a two-run double by Harry Ridge.

The score remained 3-2 until the top of the seventh inning, when Barnstable took advantage of an error and a wild pitch to score three runs.

Ridge and Peter Potthoff led off the bottom of the eighth with back-to-back singles for First Title. Ferrick singled home Ridge, and Potthoff scored the tying run from third base on a pickoff throw from the catcher to first base.

Mitchell Powers struck out six while closing out the game with four scoreless innings of relief to earn the win. He gave up just one hit and walked three.

Brad Carney started for First Title and allowed five runs, three earned, on nine hits over eight innings.

Ridge and Ferrick finished with three hits apiece, and Lops and Potthoff each collected two hits.

MILFORD, CONN. 12, CONCORD, N.H. 1: Christian Bag-lini had a pair of hits and drove in three runs to pace a 17-hit attack, and Taylor Biagioni pitched a three-hitter for Milford.
