Commuters headed out Forest Avenue over the next couple hours may face delays as the Portland Water District repairs a water main break near Riverside Street.

The break was reported at 1 a.m. Tuesday and crews worked throughout the day to patch it. Only one customer lost water service and that customer’s service has been restored, said Michelle Clements, spokeswoman for the district.

Two outbound lanes remain open, although inbound traffic is restricted to one lane, Clements said. By the Wednesday morning commute, traffic should be back to normal, she said.
