BATH

The 15th annual Rouillard Memorial Golf Tournament was held Saturday, and the fact that the top three donated ALL of their winnings tells you something about the passion and dedication of the event, which commemorates the lives of Jimmy Rouillard, his father Leon and uncle Gene.

“The day is spent sharing laughs, wonderful memories and, of course, great golf,” said organizer Charlie Houghton.

The proceeds of this tournament are donated directly to the James D. Rouillard Scholarship Fund.

The funds for this scholarship are held by the Morse High Alumni Trust, and the scholarship is given annually based on the interest so that it may live on forever.

The 2012 recipient of the James D. Rouillard Scholarship ($2,400!) was Brianna Bigelow, daughter of Nancy Cuff and Earl Bigelow. Brianna resides in Bath and is scheduled to attend Emerson College in the fall.

First place at 16-under par went to the team of Casey Walker, Katie Rouillard, Cullen Walker, Chad Walker and Alex Marshall.

Second place, also at 16- under, went to Tom Bennett Sr., Brian Bennett, John Cross, Dave Gotlibson and Ben Powell.

Third place at 13-under went to the Wilson’s Drug Store team of David DeLois, Sandy Nesbit, Dan Hart, Jeff Turner and Don Sedor.

This year’s event raised $3,200, thanks in part to the donation of the aforementioned teams.

Any and all donations are still greatly appreciated, and those interested can make checks out to the JDR Scholarship Fund.
