¦ THE FUN AND EXCITEMENT of the 2012 Great State of Maine Air Show is not limited to the weekend. This year, the commemorative Air Force Red Tail Squadron is bringing its “Rise Above” traveling exhibit to Bill Dodge Auto Group, 262 Bath Road, Brunswick, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. A news release describes the exhibit as follows: This exhibit features a 30-person movie theater, housed in a 53-foot customized trailer, with a 160-degree panoramic screen on which the original movie, “Rise Above,” is shown. The film features the inspiring story of the Tuskegee Airmen, U.S. Army Air Corps pilots. Viewers will learn about the strength and determination of thousands of black men and women — from pilots to support crews — who faced great adversity during the 1940s. The 30-minute film also gives viewers a feel for what it would be like to fly in a P-51C Mustang. The exhibit is large enough to accommodate groups during a single viewing. Groups are encouraged to call 200-7359 to reserve a particular time.
