FAIRFAX, Va. — The Independent Educational Consultants Association recently announced that Rebecca Kosakowski of Woolwich has been accepted as an associate member.

According to a news release, IECA associate members are professionals in the process of transitioning to a career in educational consulting. To qualify as an associate member, a consultant must have established an educational consulting practice and have had a minimum of one year’s experience in educational placement, counseling or admissions.

Kosakowski is the owner and principal consultant at Midcoast College Counseling, LLC and has been an independent educational consultant since 2011. Her office is located in Woolwich.

Kosakowski is a graduate of Simmons College and holds a bachelor of science degree. She is also currently enrolled in an online certificate program through UCLA.

She works with high school students and their families to guide them through the college process.
