It’s time to clean out your medicine cabinets and gather together any unused medications longer needed and bring them to the next medication collection for proper disposal. On Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., local law enforcement officers and Merrymeeting Bay TRIAD volunteers will participate in the National Medication Take-Back Program sponsored by U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.

Storing unused medications in homes poses the risks of accidental use or unlawful diversion, and improper disposal is detrimental to the environmental.

Please bring medications no longer needed to one of these local area collection sites: The McLellan Building in Brunswick, Bath Middle School, Harpswell Town Office, Topsham Municipal Building, Phippsburg Fire Department, or the Richmond Senior Center.

For more information about the upcoming medication collection or other TRIAD programs, please visit www.merrymeetingbaytriad.org or call 751-6989.
