PORTLAND — Northbound ramps for Interstate 295 that were closed in the spring for a project have reopened.

The Congress Street and Park Avenue ramps were shut down in March as part of a $7.9 million bridge rehabilitation and maintenance project. The Forest Avenue interchange ramps were closed in July.

Work on the highway will continue into October and the Maine Department of Transportation advises motorists that reduced speed limits of 45 mph for work zones remain in effect.

With the exception of the Labor Day weekend, crews will be working Sunday through Friday nights.

Temporary ramp closures will be in effect for nighttime paving work.
