SCARBOROUGH — Local officials and the former chaplain for the Maine Warden Service will lead a three-part series on crisis management beginning at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Scarborough Public Library.

The Resiliency Series begins with a community forum hosted by Police Chief Robert Moulton, Fire Chief Michael Thurlow and Dr. Ron Breazeale, creator of Maine Resilience. The forum will discuss the Scarborough Public Safety Resiliency Project and skills and attitudes needed for the community to cope with potential local disasters.

The series continues with book discussions led by Library Director Nancy Crowell at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 3 and 17. Included are “Zeitoun,” by Dave Eggers and “Here if You Need Me,” by Kate Breastrup. Preregistration is required for the book discussions.

On Oct. 23, Braestrup, the former warden’s chaplain, will lead a discussion about her work and helping first responders and families affected by tragedy. For more information, visit scarboroughlibrary.org.
