TOPSHAM — Annette (deGrandpre) Hartford, age 80, of Winter St, passed away Monday, September 17th at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, ME. Annette was born in Newburyport, MA on March 4, 1932, the daughter of Eugene and Christine Ouellette deGrandpre.

She lived in Haverhill, MA and worked for Allen Shoe for many years before moving to Brunswick, ME in 1985. She worked at Eastland Shoe Factory in Freeport and upon retiring, she moved to Barron’s Hill Apartments in Topsham, where she resided until falling ill on August 19th.

Annette was actively involved with All Saints Parish, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and going to breakfast with friends after church. She also visited housebound friends, bringing them the Eucharist after Sunday Mass. She enjoyed her trips to Canada each year with her friends.

She is survived by her four children, 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Joyce Hewey of Haverhill, MA, Paula Bastarache and her daughter Shelley and granddaughter Kiandra of Haverhill, MA, Michael and Patricia Hartford and their children Elizabeth, Samantha and David of Greensborough, NC, Ernest and Deborah Hartford and their children Ashley, Kyle and Wyatt of Brunswick, ME. She is also survived by her older brother Charles deGrandpre of Freeport, ME, her nephews Richard deGrandpre and wife Judy, Chuck deGrandpre and wife Cheryl, and Jim DeGrandpre also of Freeport, and their children.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 20th from 6-8PM at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 21st at 9AM at St. Johns the Baptist Church-All Saints Parish, Pleasant St., Brunswick with the Rev. Frank Murray officiating.
