James E. O’Leary, 61, of Worcester, Mass., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 in UMass Hospital, after an unexpected illness.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 28 from 4-7 p.m. in Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. His funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 35 Hamilton St., Worcester. Committal prayers will be recited on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Biddeford, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Cardiopulmonary ICU at UMass in care of The Foundation, 333 South St., Shrewsbury, MA 01545 or to Holy Family Church, 35 Hamilton St., Worcester, MA 01604.
