TOPSHAM — It was an exciting week of soccer for the undefeated Mt. Ararat Middle School eighth-grade girls soccer team.
On Monday the Eagles faced rival Brunswick and won 5-1.
Kate Guerin played well in the goal, allowing one goal. Mt. Ararat controlled the ball for most of the game. Karly McCourt, Katelyn Cox, Nikki Bradstreet, Anna Manuel and Emily McCracken all contributed to goals. Lauren Labbay, Isabel Burch and Maggie Garver controlled the ball and created opportunities for the offense in the backfield.
On Wednesday, the Eagles were at home again against Tripp and prevailed 3-0

The Eagles had to use their speed and skill to counterbalance the Tripp hustle, and peppered the Tripp goalie with numerous shots.
Bradstreet and Manuel each had a goal and an assist, while Emily McCracken made a nice pass to Mikala Dwelley for the third goal of the night.
Brooke Matthews, Madison Plant, Sabrina Paetow, Isabella Slocum and Kathleen Mac- Donald came through with some big plays.
