To the Editor:
This year, although we have three very fine candidates running for office in District 66, we have an opportunity to strengthen our legislative leadership team by electing Fred Horch to the Maine House of Representatives.
Our main reason for supporting Fred is that he is a man of great integrity and one who cares deeply about our community. It is important for us to have a representative who will consistently communicate with his constituents on matters brought before the Legislature that pertain to the vitality of our community. Likewise, Fred will be an effective voice for this community because he listens and proposes intelligent, practical ideas and solutions.
As a husband and father of three youngsters, Fred has a stake in strengthening Brunswick and will focus his energies on this community rather than on a political career for its own sake.
We support Fred and feel certain that you will also because of shared values and love for our community. Fred has a legal background, strong work ethic, the ability to reach across partisan divides, and will surely represent our interests with a calm yet commanding, sensible and thoughtful approach.
Please give Fred Horch your support and vote to elect him to the 125th Maine Legislature.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
