BRUNSWICK — Edith T. Libby, 102, died Sept. 25 at Winship Green Nursing Home in Bath.

She was born in Hyde Park, Mass., on June 25, 1910, the daughter of Frederick and Eva Duke Haskell. She attended local schools, and was married to Edwin C. Libby in Islington, Mass., on June 27, 1932. The couple soon moved to Maine. Edwin died in June 1996.

Libby was a member of the Maine Street Baptist Church. She is predeceased by a sister, Ruth Morrisroe, and a brother, Warren Haskell.

She is survived by daughter Eva M. Bernier, of West Gardiner, and her husband, Roger; daughter Myrtle N. Russell, of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., and her husband, Peter; a son, Wesley B. Libby, of Corrina and his wife, Mildred; a sister, Gladys Mercier, of South Harpswell; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A private burial service was held Sept. 28 at Growstown Cemetery in Brunswick with the Rev. Dale Morell officiating.
