AUGUSTA (AP) — An Augusta man suspected in a series of house breaks has been arrested as he tried to leave the state.

Police say 20-year-old Michael Marro was apprehended last weekend at the Augusta State Airport as he attempted to buy a bus ticket.

He was ordered held on $10,000 bail at his initial court appearance on Monday.

The Kennebec Journal reports that police allege Marro admitted breaking into a total of 10 homes between July and October. He faces charges in seven of the breakins and could face charges in the other three.
