Brunswick police summonsed six Bowdoin College students on alcohol-related charges stemming from an off-campus party Sept. 28.
At 10:53 p.m., Brunswick police Sgt. Russ Wrede said police responded to a report of loud noise at 6 Summer St. When they arrived, they investigated and issued summonses to six Bowdoin College students.
Charged with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol were 21-year-olds Kyle Lockwood of 179 Peaceable Ridge Road, Ridgefield, Conn.; Stephen Messina of 27 Running Hills Drive, Newton, N.J.; and William Livermore, 21, of 517 Ideal Lane of Ludlow, Mass.
Summonsed for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor was Daniel Palumbo of 202 Stowe Inn, who now is 21; and two 19-year-olds.
Scott Hood, vice president for communications and public affairs for Bowdoin College, said Tuesday, “Students know what’s expected of them at Bowdoin. If they behave in a way that is contrary to the standard the college expects, then they will be held accountable.”
He added that students are responsible for their behavior on and off campus.
