He was born in Brunswick on September 29, 1975 the son of Leonard O. Jr. and Theresa A. Smothers Skelton.
Joseph attended Bowdoinham and Topsham schools and was a 1995 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School. Joseph enjoyed playing games on the computer and facebook, playstation, watching television especially NASCAR and enjoyed animals. Joseph also liked going out and socializing.
Surviving is his father Leonard O. Skelton Jr. and his brother Leonard O. Skelton III of Bowdoinham. His mother Theresa McKellar of Richmond and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, October 21st from 3-6PM at Stetson’s Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 22nd at 11 am at the Bay View Cemetery in Bowdoinham. Memorial donations may be made to Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center 22 Bramhall St. Portland, ME 04102 and will be used to help children with heart and diabetes diseases.
