BATH — Courtney Bodine scored with 2:30 remaining in regulation to lift the Bath Middle School field hockey team to a 1-0 victory over rival Mt. Ararat on Friday.
Both Mt. Ararat goaltender Clarissa LeBourdais and Bath’s Chelsea Baker had two saves.
Playing well for the Eagles were Lexi Laurelez, Maddi Stover, Chloe Anna and Alyssa Folger, while Bath’s Sid Stanton play all-around good defense.
In the eighth-grade game, Mt. Ararat goaltender Haley Frizzle had seven saves in a scoreless tie with Bath.
Britany Kaler, Koralle Fifield, Chelsea Baker and Zeaide McCarthy played well for Bath, while Eagle standouts were Emily Giggey, Maddy Griffin, Sarah Gagne, Alana Weaver, Tahlia Couture, Samantha Gonyea and Rhiannon Hersey.
