NEWCASTLE — The Midcoast Economic Development Districthas announced a “Foundation and Discovery Event” to introduce the Mobilize Maine process to the region.
Action teams will be formed around four key focus areas: talent; local food, fish and farming; manufacturing and technology; and cultural and natural attractions.
The group partners with its 53 member communities from Brunswick to Lincolnville to improve economic opportunities in Midcoast Maine, it said in a news release.
The event is 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Lincoln Academy Dining Commons, 81 Academy Hill.
