TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School field hockey team took on Brunswick Junior High Monday and lost 3-0.
Mt. Ararat goaltender Haley Frizzle made 10 saves.
Brunswick goals were scored by Erin Mar-Aurele (assisted by Hannah Escoe), Lauren Grocholl (Escoe) and Margaret Dickinson.
Playing well for the host Eagles were midfielder Maia Carlson, forward Alana Weaver and midfielder Thalia Couture.
In other action, Mt. Ararat played at Auburn.
The eighth-graders lost 2-1.
Caroline Headley scored for Mt. Ararat, while Victoria Beliveau and Kaylie Valee scored for Auburn,
Haley Frizzle stopped four shots and sweeper Sarah Gagne made a nice clear, while those playing well included Maddie Griffin, Karlie Brillant and Laura Secone.
The seventh-graders tied 0- 0 as Mt. Ararat goaltender Clarissa LeBourdais made two saves, and forwards Abby Holman and Abby Parry, midfielder Lilia Simmons, and backs Abby Hagan and Emily Robbins stood out.
