SOUTH PORTLAND — Homeowners can learn how to make their homes energy efficient and explore converting to solar and other alternative energy sources at a free event at Southern Maine Community College.
Saturday’s Solar Power and Energy Efficiency Fair is being held at the college’s Sustainability and Energy Alternatives Center. Visitors will be able to get a close-up look at various cutting-edge technologies and techniques used at the center as demonstration projects.
Homeowners will also have direct access to experts and vendors to talk about home energy audits, green building supplies and appliances, solar energy alternatives, and financing.
