BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin junior Coby Horowitz has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Most Outstanding Performer in postseason awards handed out on Tuesday.
Horowitz was also named as a First Team All-NESCAC honoree, while classmate Samuel Seekins also earned First Team All-Conference status.
Bowdoin women’s cross country junior Madelena Rizzo was named as a Second Team All-NESCAC recipient.
After winning the NESCAC Championship on his home course last weekend in a time of 24:26.78, Horowitz repeated as a First Team selection. Seekins garners his first First Team honor after finishing fifth at the NESCAC meet.
Rizzo earns her first All- Conference nod after a ninthplace showing in the women’s race, finishing in a time of 22:07.31.
NESCAC cross country honors are based on finishes at the conference’s annual championship meet.
