LEWISTON — “The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron?” will be performed Nov. 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at The Public Theatre, 31 Maple St.

According to a news release the play is hailed by critics and audiences alike. Winner of the New England Critic’s Choice Award for best solo show, “The Male Intellect: an Oxymoron?” is a rare thing; a laugh-out-loud funny, provocative and insightful comedy that both men and women will equally enjoy.

The 90-minute show promises nonstop laughter, when one brave man racks his brain to answer the age-old question, “What do women want?” Searching for an answer, he seeks the advice of five funny men eager to share their personal experience, as well as their hilariously unhelpful information.

If you’re a woman, this entertaining show explains why guys are the way they are; if you’re a man, it explains what women want, even when they don’t know it themselves.

Playwright and actor Robert Dubac draws on decades of showbiz experience as a writer, actor and stand-up comic to create one-man shows that explore the social mores and the complexity of the human experience with unparalleled wit and humor.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for groups of 10 or more.
