RICHMOND — The town will hold a community “visioning” session Tuesday night at 6 at the town office to kick off an update to the town Comprehensive Plan.
The forum was organized by the town, Midcoast Council of Governments and Planning Decisions Inc.
Everyone is invited, including interested residents, business owners, community leaders and youth, to help develop a vision of how the town of Richmond should look and feel in the next 20 years.
For example, what kind of businesses and jobs should come to town, what housing and community services does the town need, and what natural and recreational resources should the town protect?
The current Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 1991.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
