Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Dereck R. Currier, son of Vicki Stevens of Steep Falls and Dan Currier, of Limington, was recently selected as Sailor of the Day aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, home ported in Norfolk, Va. Currier is a 2003 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School, Standish.

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class James N. Keto, son of Sharon Allie of Biddeford and John Keto of Oneonta, N.Y., recently arrived in Norfolk, Va., following a seven-and-a-half-month deployment on the USS Enterprise, supporting operations in the Mediterranean and the Arabian seas. Keto is a 2007 graduate of Biddeford High School and joined the Navy in March 2009.

Navy Seaman Jesse C. Young, son of Ruth and Richard Young of South Berwick, has completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Young is a 2008 graduate of Marshwood High School, South Berwick.

Navy Seaman Recruit Ariel E. Wing, a 2012 graduate of Noble High School, North Berwick, recently completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
