Boyfriend faces drug charge after Lewiston woman dies
A Lewiston woman who suffered a medical crisis after using cocaine at her boyfriend’s home has died, and the boyfriend is now facing drug charges.
The Sun Journal reported that 39-year-old Tracy Harris was hospitalized Wednesday after her boyfriend called emergency workers to his home in Lewiston.
Harris died at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Friday morning.
Hours later, 47-year-old Paul Michaud, Harris’ boyfriend, was in District Court in Lewiston to answer charges of drug trafficking and furnishing drugs.
Judge Rick Lawrence set Michaud’s bail at $30,000 property or $5,000 cash, with conditions that he be supervised and that he not drink or take drugs.
Michaud’s attorney, Verne Paradie, said additional charges could be filed.

Lewiston motorist killed when vehicle rolls over
Maine State Police say a Lewiston man died when his car rolled over multiple times in Durham.
Trooper Nathan Jamo told the Sun Journal that 53-year-old Barry Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash late Friday afternoon.
Police said speed was “an overwhelming factor” and alcohol is suspected because there was an open can of beer in the 2004 Mitsubishi Galant.
Morrison was headed east on Soper Road when he lost control of the car and it rolled at least five or six times. An investigation is continuing.
BANGOR
Guard’s Air Refueling Wing getting new commander
The Maine Air National Guard’s 101st Air Refueling Wing is getting a new commander.
A change of command ceremony was scheduled Saturday afternoon at the unit’s Bangor base.
Col. John D’Errico is relinquishing command to Col. Douglas Farnham.
D’Errico has been serving with the Maine National Guard since 1978, and as commander of the 101st for more than three years.
Farnham is a 1984 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.
As an instructor pilot and flight examiner in the C-21A Learjet, he served as the primary pilot for the commander of the U.S. Space Command.
