HARPSWELL — Timothy W. Furbish, 68, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Mid Coast Hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1944, in Brunswick, son of the late Melvin (Bud) Furbish and his surviving mother, Dorothy Furbish of Topsham.

Tim attended schools in the Topsham area as a child and graduated Brunswick High School in 1962.

He worked in the carpenter shop at Bath Iron Works for 21 plus years and retired in the 2003.

Tim was a member of the Sabasco Church of the Nazarene and loved to help there in whatever way he could.

Tim will be sadly missed by many relatives, friends and co-workers. But he will be remembered for his huge smile and bigger-than-life laugh.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Furbish of Harpswell; his mother, Dorothy Furbish of Topsham; a brother, Randall Furbish of Litchfield; a daughter, Melanie Bootz of Cocoa, Fla.; a stepson, Joseph Warren of Harpswell; and three grandchildren, Andrew and Emily of Cocoa, and Mason Warren of Harpswell.

He was predeceased by his father, Melvin (Bud) Furbish of Topsham; a brother Sheldon Furbish of Topsham; and a brother, Gary Furbish of Topsham.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Tim’s name to Sabasco Church of the Nazarene, Sabasco Estates.

Visiting hours were held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.

A funeral service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today, Monday, Dec. 10, at the funeral home with Pastor Wes Murphy officiating.
