BANGOR (AP) — A children’s martial arts instructor accused of molesting unconscious boys and recording the acts is now charged with assaulting one of his students in Maine.
Thirty-four-year-old Wade Hoover, who taught martial arts at a studio named Koshow Warriors in Lewiston, was previously charged with production of child pornography.
The case against the Augusta man began in state court after pornography was found on his laptop and he was confronted at his job at the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
The Portland Press Herald says Hoover waived a detention hearing and will be held until his trial. The newspaper says video on his computer showed him assaulting an incapacitated student, and that other videos showed him and another man sexually assaulting other boys under the same circumstances.
