FREEPORT — In jayvee girls basketball action on Tuesday, Freeport High School lost to Cape Elizabeth 50-23.
The Capers’ Alex Sawyer led all scorers with 17 points.
The Falcons were led by Bailey Karnes with nine points, and Hannah Ray with six. Jess Perry and Dani Foster were defensive standouts for Freeport.
Cape Elizabeth maintained a halftime lead of 22-12 and pulled away in the second half by scoring 14 points in both the third and fourth quarters.
Cape converted five of 12 free throws, while Freeport was three of six.
