LEWISTON — Swedish defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored a goal and had an assist to lead the Portland Pirates to a 4-2 win against the Manchester Monarchs before a sell-out crowd of 3,745 people at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Ekman-Larsson snapped a 2-2 tie when he put in a shot from the left point for his seventh goal of the season 3:45 into the third period.

David Rundblad, another Swedish defenseman, and Brett Hextall scored goals to help Portland take an early 2-1 lead. Chris Brown added an empty-net goal with 2.6 seconds left.

Dwight King and rookie Tanner Pearson scored goals for the Monarchs.
