BRUNSWICK — A repeat “Best of Brunswick” recipient, The Parkwood Inn has recently undergone an extensive renovation and is now the Best Western Plus Brunswick-Bath, according to a news release.

The 68-room inn, owned by Giri Hotels, will continue to offer the same great service and upscale amenities, with new Best Western Plus standards.

Giri Hotels also owns and operates: Best Western Plus Civic Center Inn and Comfort Inn in Augusta, EconoLodge in Freeport, Best Western Plus Waterville and other hotels in Massachusetts.

“Giri Hotels has finished a million dollar capital improvement renovation project that includes modern décor, new public areas and newly renovated rooms,” said Tonya Dube, general manager at The Parkwood Inn for nearly 15 years. “All rooms will now have flat screen TVs, refrigerators, microwaves, new furniture and a great new look.”

The new Best Western Plus Brunswick-Bath features suites with whirlpool tubs, as well as premier accommodations for business travelers. Amenities include hot breakfast, fitness center, indoor pool and banquet facilities.

The former Parkwood Inn features its on-site restaurant, The Parkwood Grille, open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m.
