TURNER — The Leavitt High School boys jayvee basketball team outscored visiting Morse 34-19 in the second half en route to a 62-40 victory on Thursday.
Keegan McDonough paced the Shipbuilders (0-5 and slated to host Maine Central Institute on Thursday) with nine points, while Zach Holbrook chipped in eight. Morse was 12 of 19 at the foul line.
Reed Farrar had a game-high 14 points for the Hornets, with Corey Caito adding 13 points.
In earlier action, Morse battled back from an early 10-point deficit to close to within one point, but Lincoln Academy pulled away in the second half for a 50-38 win.
Andrew LaCavera had eight points for the Shipbuilders, with Juwan Moore adding seven.
