SALEM, Mass. — Senior Nate Simpson had a team-high 18 points and game-high 24 rebounds to lead the Salem State University Vikings to an 93-83 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in the final game of the Salem State Holiday Classic Sunday afternoon at the O’Keefe Center.
Southern Maine dropped its third straight game to dip to 6-5 overall.
Southern Maine junior Conor Sullivan led all scorers with 21 points on an 8-for-14 effort from the floor, while senior Alex Kee of Bath tossed in 15 points, six rebounds and a game-high five assists.
Southern Maine hosts the University of New England tonight at 7:30 p.m.
