GORHAM — University of Southern Maine Huskies head softball coach Sarah Jamo and her 2013 squad will host a set of four winter softball clinics for players ages 8- 18.
Clinics will be conducted at the University of Southern Maine’s Costello Sports Complex on four consecutive Sundays — Jan. 20, Jan. 27, Feb. 3 and Feb. 10 — from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Each clinic will focus on aspects of offense, defense and pitching.
The cost is $20 per player, or $75 for all four clinic dates. Attendees will have a chance to learn basic and advanced softball mechanics.
In addition to the four winter clinics, Jamo and the Huskies will offer a pair of day clinics in March. A clinic geared towards high school players will be held on March 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., while a clinic for minor and major little league players will be held on March 16.
These clinics will focus on all individual aspects of softball, as well as team concepts, and will feature live situational games.
The cost of both March clinics is $50 for the day or $45 with four or more registrations from a team.
