DRESDEN — Irving Brookings Wright Jr., 84, of Dresden, passed away on Monday, January 7th, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born in Bath, Maine, on August 2, 1928, the son of Irving B Wright and Lura Pearl Davis. He attended Bath schools, and worked at the Wing Farm up until the time he joined the United States Marine Corp., where he served in Korea, receiving 2 Purple Hearts and the Silver Star.

Irving was employed at Bath Iron Works for 14 years, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 7 years, he worked at the Bath Junior High School, the Customs House and retired from the State of Maine; Bath Children’s Home in 1992.

 
 
Irving enjoyed spending time at his camp with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Beverly Yeaton Wright who passed away in 1995.

He is survived by his children Vanessa Reynolds, Vance Wright and his wife Tashar, Kimberly Brassard, Todd Wright and Mark Wright. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and a great grandson, a sister, a brother and many nieces and nephews.
