PORTLAND (AP) — Portland city councilors are expressing their support for looking at the feasibility of developing train, bus or some other commuter transportation service linking Portland with the cities of Lewiston and Auburn.

The City Council this week approved a resolution directing the city manager to work with Lewiston and Auburn, the Maine Department of Transportation and other agencies to secure funding for a study and to work toward advancing the initiative.
