
She attended schools in Georgetown and Bath. She later was employed by Stinson canning Factory, Congress Sports Wear and by the late dentist Hurbert T. Caverly.
Betty loved wintering in Florida with her beloved husband and to Five Islands in the summer. She loved her family, visiting the nursing homes, garage sales and shopping.
She was a member of the Five Islands Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by her devoted husband Edwin O. Berry; their daughter, Kathleen E. Perkins; a grandson, Michael Perkins and his wife Christine and their 4 children, a grand daughter, Melissa Peterson and her husband Eric and their 2 children, a grand daughter, Michelle Long, and a grand daughter Melinda Houston and her husband Greg and their 3 children; a sister Beverly Berry and her husband Arthur; a niece and two nephews; and many cousins.

A funeral service will be held for Betty on Saturday, January 12th, 2013 at 2:30 pm at the Five Islands Church, Georgetown, officiating will be her nephew, Pastor Barry Moore, who is the son of Betty’s oldest sister, Marie Rittall Moore who has passed away in 2007.
Interment will be held in the spring at Mountainside Cemetery, Georgetown.
