BRUNSWICK — Mid Coast Hospital’s walk-in clinic at Brunswick Station has expanded its hours to accommodate higher-than-expected demand.
In response to high patient demand and a bad influenza season, the walk-in clinic will remain open for an additional two hours each weekend day. The new operating hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
“Over the summer we saw a high percentage of patients who were visiting from out of the area and recognized the need for expanded hours,” said Joan Ouellette, practice manager for Mid Coast Primary Care & Walk-In Clinic.
The clinic opened in August 2011 and has seen more than 11,000 patients to date, Mid Coast officials said in a news release.
The clinic is located at 22 Station Ave. For more information, visit www.midcoasthealth.com/primarycare or call 406-7500.
