To the Editor:
After reading the letters and articles about the Amtrak train whistles in Freeport, I am reminded of a Bob Dylan song from the late 1960s: “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry.”
Cheer up, folks. Silence will soon be coming to a grade crossing near you.
