WENHAM, Mass. — The University of New England Nor’easters scored the first 14 points of the contest and cruised the rest of the way for a 70-39 Commonwealth Coast Conference women’s basketball win over Gordon College Tuesday evening at the Bennett Center.
The Nor’easters improved to 7-4 and have now won the last 11 meetings between the two foes.
Reigning CCC Player of the Week Kelly Coleman tallied 16 points in just 20 minutes the Nor’easters, while Beth Suggs of Bath chipped in 12 points and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds.
For the game, Big Blue made half (29 of 58) of its field goal attempts while limiting Gordon to 30.8 percent (16 of 52) accuracy.
