BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College senior co-captain Stephanie Ludy has been named as the New England Small College Athletic Conference’s Women’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week.
Ludy racked up five goals and an assist in a perfect 3-0 week for Bowdoin.
After netting a power-play goal in a 4-3 win over St. Anselm on Tuesday, she scored the eventual game winner and added an assist in a 4-1 triumph at Wesleyan on Friday. She followed that up with her first career hat trick in a 7-2 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.
She helped the Polar Bears extend their unbeaten streak to 12. Ludy has scored five power-play goals this season.
Ludy has netted eight goals this season, making her the team’s second leading scorer. Bowdoin, which is ranked sixth in the latest USCHO.com Division III poll, is 12-1-1 and sits atop the NESCAC standings.
Bowdoin returns to action this upcoming weekend with a key two-game series with Middlebury. The teams play Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m. at Sidney J. Watson Arena.
