Cheverus senior standout and Fall Male Athlete of the Year Donald Goodrich was named the 42nd winner of the James J. Fitzpatrick Trophy as the top senior football player in the state at Sunday’s ceremony at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. Goodrich had 1,722 rushing yards (averaging nearly nine yards per carry) and 22 touchdowns, six receptions, including a pair for TDs, and made 43 tackles during his senior season. Goodrich joins Peter Gwilym (2010) as the schoool’s lone recipients.
