BATH
State Sen. Seth Goodall, D-Richmond, will host a community forum 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 at Bath City Hall, to discuss legislative priorities and bills set at the start of the 126th legislative session.
“Maine faces a host of challenges but I am pleased to note that the Legislature has stepped up to the challenge and hit the ground running,” Goodall said in a news release. “There is much to discuss and I look forward to an open discussion about legislative and state issues impacting our community.”
The forum will be co-facilitated by state Reps. Jennifer DeChant, D-Bath, and Peter Kent, D-Woolwich.
Local lawmakers will address a variety of topics and provide a brief overview of proposed legislation, including the budget, investment bonds, insurance, labor laws, education and economic development, among others.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
